Xfinity Self Install Kit Cost

My question is, what additional charges are there on my bill? I assume they aren't doing this out of the goodness of their heart. What I see, this box acts as a DVR..is there another charge for this? I don't currently have a DVR, just an ancient 'Comcast' branded HD box. Empire earth 3 download full version. Honestly, I do not want to pay a penny more than what I am paying now for service, so I'll probably pass if that is the case.
