Baker Gun Co. Was closed in 1933, 44 years after the death of W.H. Baker, and the factory was converted to the manufacture of automobile parts. About 150,000 Baker guns were produced prior to the Folsom take-over; Folsom production numbers do not exist. There are four series of serial numbers for the Baker single barrel trap guns. The first were the octagon receiver model made from 1909 until 1914; these were numbered from 1 through 300. In 1915 a new series began, using the floating ribs and forend-mounted ejectors. However, serial numbers from the company’s beginning through 1888 are not available. According to Col. Brophy in L.C. Smith Shotguns, information is missing on the estimated 9,491 W.H. Baker guns (two and three barrel guns) and 6,223 for L.C. Smith shotguns made in Syracuse, NY. Baker Gun Company, Batavia Leader 12 Ga. Double Description: PRICE REDUCED! We will also break down takedowns. We have had problems with rough carrier handling breaking the stocks at the wrist, and since we have begun to disassemble, we have not had any breakage. All parts will be individually wrapped. If you would prefer to not have your item disassembled, please let us know as soon as you win the bid. Your item will be shipped within 1 week of receipt of good funds, usually the next day. You will receive an automatic notification with a tracking number upon shipment, to let you know that we have received funds. (Please obtain a tracking number from your carrier for immediate delivery confirmation of payment). If you are in Southern California, you are welcome to pick your item up and complete the transfer at our shop in Simi Valley (M-F, 8-4 and Saturday By Appointment). This gun can only be shipped to an FFL or C&R, and it will be shipped from an FFL. It is your responsibility to ensure that the gun is legal to own and receive in your area.
